Article published on Friday, May 9, 2008
PINELLAS COUNTY – As usual, a lot of entertainment is happening around Pinellas and Tampa Bay this weekend. The following are just a few in the spotlight.

It’s the final weekend to see the Vatican Splendors from Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Swiss Guard at the Florida International Museum, 244 Second Ave. N., St. Petersburg. The display is one of the largest collections of art, documents and historically significant objects from the Vatican.

Double Take Dalí Look Alike Festival is Saturday, May 10, 9 p.m. to midnight, at Salvador Dalí Museum, 1000 Third Street South, St. Petersburg. Join the museum staff on the eve of Dalí’s birthday to see the judging of personal appearances by Dalí look alikes, as well as showing the top video entries. Contestants will give a one-minute statement describing what’s “striking or special about their Dalí” as well as any “connection they feel with the artist.” Refreshments will be provided. Free to attend.

Information about more art and museum exhibits can be found on the Art & Museum’s page.

It’s also the last weekend to see “Little Shop of Horrors” at St. Petersburg Little Theatre, 4025 31st St. S. Performances will be Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. Matinees will be Saturday and Sundays, 2 p.m.
