Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives are looking for this man in connection with a June 24 bank robbery at the Wachovia Bank in Belleair Bluffs.
BELLEAIR BLUFFS - Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an armed bank robbery that took place in Belleair Bluffs just before 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Wachovia Bank located at 2515 West Bay Drive in Belleair Bluffs.

According to detectives, the suspect entered the bank and brandished a handgun while demanding cash from a teller. The teller complied after which the suspect fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

During the suspect’s escape a dye-pack that had been included with the stolen cash activated. As a result the suspect dropped the cash, and he may now have red stains on his hands or clothing.

No injuries were reported and detectives recovered all of the money that was stolen during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s to mid 30s, six feet tall with a thin build. He had facial hair and was last seen wearing a multi-color knit cap, a black long-sleeved shirt, and dark colored pants. During the robbery the suspect was armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information concerning this investigation is asked to contact Detective Nicholas Bedy of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Robbery-Homicide Unit at 727-582-6200 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
