SEMINOLE – The Seminole Community Library, 9200 113th St., will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 4 and 5 to implement a new county-wide library data system called Pinellas Automated Library System.
Library officials say the implementation will improve library catalog, accessibility of library records, and facilitate sharing of public library materials among the Pinellas public libraries.
After the brief closing, the library will reopen Wednesday, Aug. 6.
Through the new public library catalog, library users will be able to locate and borrow public library materials throughout the county with much greater ease. Through the college library catalog, library users can locate the academic materials in any of St. Petersburg College’s six libraries.
In preparation for this implementation, the library will suspend taking reserves-holds for books and other materials until the reopening on Aug. 6.
