O’Neill team surfers Alek Parker, left, and Cory Lopez of IRB sign autographs at Monday’s premiere of the surf movie “The Life” at the Beach Art Center.

INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – World professional surfer and IRB native Cory Lopez signed autographs for fans during the Tampa Bay premiere of his new surf movie “The Life,” on the evening of Aug. 18 at the Beach Art Center in Indian Rocks Beach.

Lopez is one of seven featured surfers in the movie that chronicles the surfing adventures around the globe of team riders for O’Neill.

“The Life” enjoyed two screenings at the Beach Art Center to a packed house of enthusiastic fans.

Lopez took breaks between screenings to sign posters along with teammate, Alek Parker, who also is from this area.

The event was part of O’Neill’s official East Coast movie tour and was sponsored by Lopez’s Nekton Surf Shop in Indian Rocks Beach.
