A fun group enjoys the IRB Boat Club’s island party.
INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – The Indian Rocks Beach Boat Club hosted an island party in the Intracoastal Waterway just south of the Belleair Beach Causeway on Sept. 13.
More than two dozen boats carried about 100 people to the island for great food, nice weather, a bonfire and a beautiful setting sun with full moon rising.
Club members will meet again Thursday, Sept. 18, at Marlin Time in Brewmasters. Happy hour will be 6 to 7 p.m. with the meeting at 7.
The club is planning an Intracoastal Waterway cleanup on Saturday, Oct. 11, and they will be sponsoring a boat in the Madeira Beach Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 9. Volunteers are needed to help decorate and ride on the boat.
