Clearwater ready for Palin’s visit

CLEARWATER. – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice president candidate, will speak at a Road to Victory Rally on Monday, Oct. 6, in Coachman Park, 301 Drew St., Clearwater. Gates will open at 6 a.m.
Tickets may be picked up at the Pinellas County REC Victory office, 4707 140 Ave. Suite 2008, Clearwater.
Parking will be available at Jack Russell Stadium on Monday, Oct. 6. Shuttle buses will take people from the stadium to Coachman Park from 6 a.m. to noon. The buses will be wheelchair accessible and will drop people off east of the library. After the event, shuttle buses will return from Coachman Park to Jack Russell Stadium. The stadium is located at 800 Phillies Drive, between Palmetto and Seminole streets.
All roads between Cleveland and Drew streets and from Coachman Park to Fort Harrison Avenue will be closed during those hours.
The Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave., will be closed until noon on Monday.
