ST. PETERSBURG - The 27th Annual St. Petersburg Boat Show announced Thursday that the upcoming 2005 show, originally scheduled for

Nov. 17 to 20 has been rescheduled from Thursday, Dec. 1, to Sunday, Dec. 4.

The producers of the show, Yachting Promotions-Gulf Inc. are based out of Fort Lauderdale.

" Due to the intensity of Hurricane Wilma and the strain on our resources, the opening of the St. Petersburg Boat Show could not proceed as planned for the Nov. 17 start date, "said Chuck Bolt, sales manager.

The Hurricane Wilma damage has also pushed back the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from Oct. 27 to 31 to Nov. 3 to 6.

"The show will go on," Bolt said, "this show is the Gulf coasts' largest in-water boat show, and we will be ready for a successful show."
