CLEARWATER - A fire in an unincorporated Clearwater mobile home left two people with non-life threatening injuries, according to a Pinellas County sheriff’s report.

The fire happened on Dec. 2 around 4:13 a.m. at the New Ranch Mobile Home Park at 2291 Gulf to Bay Blvd., Unit 311. Deputies initially responded to a noise complaint at that location, but when they arrived they discovered flames coming out of the windows of the home and then called Clearwater Fire and Rescue, the report said.

The two occupants of the mobile home a 41-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were already outside when deputies arrived and were taken by ambulance to Tampa General Hospital for treatment.

The home was a total loss, according to a press release, and although wind was a factor, firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to adjacent units. Clearwater Fire and Rescue had eight units respond with 27 firefighters.

Detectives from the sheriff's arson unit and the State Fire Marshal¹s Office are investigating.
