Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark reminds voters that Tuesday, Oct. 9, is the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6 General Election.
All Supervisor of Elections offices will be open until 6 p.m. Tuesday. Locations include:
• 13001 Starkey Rd. (Starkey Lakes Corporate Center), Largo
• 501 1st Ave. N. (5th Street entrance), St. Petersburg
Voter registration applications are available at any Supervisor of Elections office, public library, tax collector office, government office handling social services or online at www.votepinellas.com.
Voters who are already registered to vote in Florida do not need to re-register. A change in state law requires that address changes from another county that are made at the polls will require the voter to vote a provisional ballot, except for active military voters and their families.
All new applications or party changes received by mail must be postmarked by Oct. 9 to be eligible for this election.
To avoid long lines during early voting and on election day, voters can request a mail ballot and vote in the comfort of their homes. The General Election ballot is four pages long (2 cards) and includes 11 proposed state constitutional amendments and a Pinellas School District referendum.
To request a mail ballot or for more information, call 464-VOTE (8683) or visit www.votepinellas.com.
