Scottish American Society social gatherings
Ceilidhs, traditional Gaelic social gatherings, are held every Friday night from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Scottish American Society of Dunedin, 917 Louden Ave., Dunedin.  

The cost is $5 for nonmembers. The social club is dedicated to the preservation of Scottish culture, offering Scottish country dancing, line dancing, holiday dinners and parties.

American Legion cookout
SEMINOLE – American Legion Post 252, 11433 Park Blvd., holds a cookout every Saturday and Sunday at the Tiki Bar from 1 to 5 p.m.

Breakfast is held the first Sunday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m. and the monthly spaghetti dinner is held the first Tuesday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m.  

The dining room is open to the public. Legion membership is required to purchase alcohol.

Book sale at Gulf Beaches Library
MADEIRA BEACH – The Friends of the Gulf Beaches Public Library plan a book sale Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26, at the library, 200 Municipal Drive. The sale will consist of primarily fiction books and paperbacks. For more information, call 391-2828.

National Dance Day
LARGO – Tutterow Dancers will offer free dance classes on National Dance Day, Saturday, July 26, 9 a.m. to noon, at Largo Community Center, 400 Alt. Keene Road.  

Tutterow offers preschool ballet and tap for ages 3 to 4, jazz, ballet, hippity hop for ages 5 to 7 and hip hop for ages 8 to 12. Open auditions for the competition team – intermediate and advanced – will be offered 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.  

Tutterow Dance Academy is contracted through the city of Largo Recreation, Parks and Arts Department. Class fees are collected by the city for its programs. Tutterow Dancers is privately owned and has partnered with the city of Largo since 1976.

Wildflower Garden Club meeting
TARPON SPRINGS – The Wildflower Garden Club will meet Saturday, July 26, 8 to 11 a.m., at Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental Education Center, 3940 Keystone Road.  

The Friends of Brooker Creek Preserve will be out getting their gardening hands dirty in the preserve’s wildflower garden. Participants should bring garden gloves and hat. Morning snacks are usually provided.
