Tea with Terry
LARGO – The ongoing series Tea with Terry is presented Wednesdays, 3 to 4 p.m., at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park Administration Building, Gathering Room, 13401 Indian Rocks Road.

Aquatic fitness classes
ST. PETE BEACH – The St. Pete Beach Recreation Department is again offering aquatic fitness classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, June 10 to Sept. 22, from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. at the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive.

The cost is $5 for St. Pete Beach residents and $6 for nonresidents. Silver Sneakers members are welcome. Aquatic fitness provides muscle toning and a cardio workout with the benefits and support of the water.

City Power Toastmasters Club meeting
ST. PETERSBURG – The City Power Toastmasters Club, a nonprofit communication and leadership club, meets Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. at the Municipal Services Building, One Fourth St. N., Sixth Floor, Room 600.  

The club teaches self-confidence and skills to help listen, think, speak and gain leadership qualities. Participants gain poise, positive body language and speak more easily.  

Guests are welcome to visit for free with no pressure to join.

Clearwater Christian Women’s Club meeting
CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Christian Women’s Club will host its monthly luncheon Wednesday, July 8, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Banquet Masters, 13355 49th St. N.

There will be a patriotic sing-along followed by a demonstration of American flag protocol. The speaker will be Maria Goodsell, who will share “From a Concentration Camp to Lady Liberty.”

All women are welcome. The club is not affiliated with any church or denomination. There are no dues or membership. The cost is $18 inclusive.

Epilepsy seminars
ST. PETERSBURG – Bayfront Health St. Petersburg will present a series of epilepsy seminars at the Sheen Conference Center at the hospital, 701 Sixth St. S.

Kristine Ziemba, M.D., Ph.D., will facilitate. The first seminar will give an overview of epilepsy and treatment options. Seminars will be presented on Wednesday, July 8, noon; and Wednesday, July 22, 6 p.m. Food and refreshments will be served.

Faith in Real Life discussion group
LARGO – The Faith in Real Life discussion group will meet Wednesdays, June 17 through Aug. 19, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1199 Highland Ave.

The church invites all adults to its new Faith in Real Life discussion group. The sessions will feature coffee, dessert and discussions of the questions of faith that challenge individuals in today’s modern world.

Fenway Hotel ribbon cutting
DUNEDIN – A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Wednesday, July 8, to initiate the rebirth of the historic Fenway Hotel as the national headquarters of the Taoist Tai Chi Society of the USA. The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the main entrance to the hotel, 453 Edgewater Drive.

The hotel, which opened in 1927, was purchased by the society in June 2014. The building will undergo a $10 million renovation. Some ancillary buildings on the 5.2-acre property have already been demolished and the interior of the main building gutted.

When completed, the 52,000-square-foot facility will have 102 rooms, dining hall and conference room. For information, call Jean Swantish, 734-0929.

Largo Toastmasters meeting
LARG0 – Largo Star Toastmasters Club 5933 invites new members to its weekly meeting on Wednesdays, 12:05 to 1:05 p.m., at the Young Rainey Star Center, 7887 Bryan Dairy Road No. 120 in Largo.

The club is open to all residents and workers in the Largo, Pinellas Park and Seminole areas.

A Toastmasters club provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their oral communication and leadership skills. Come watch as members present speeches, develop leadership skills by serving in various club positions and participate in Table Topics sessions in a relaxed yet structured one-hour setting.
