After-hours networking
ST. PETE BEACH – The Treasure Island & Madeira Beach Chamber of Commerce will host an after-hours networking event Thursday, May 26, 5 to 7 p.m., at Silas Dent’s Steakhouse, 5501 Gulf Blvd.

Cost is $10, which includes the first drink and appetizers. Everyone is welcome. The event will include door prizes and a raffle.

First Aid classes
SEMINOLE – Seminole Fire Rescue will offer free basic First Aid classes on Thursdays, Jan. 28, April 14 and May 26, 7 p.m., at Fire Station 29, 11195 70th Ave. N.

To receive an American Heart Association Basic First Aid or Heartsaver course completion card there will be a $5 processing fee. Parking is free.

Gulf Beaches library blood drive
MADEIRA BEACH – Gulf Beaches Public Library will host a blood drive Thursday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All donors will receive a free T-shirt and a wellness checkup. Identification will be required. The library is located at 200 Municipal Drive.

Hurricane preparedness event
LARGO – Largo Fire Rescue is hosting a hurricane preparedness event Thursday, May 26, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Largo Public Library. Residents are invited to this free event to learn how to be prepared before, during, and after a hurricane.

Seminar on keeping joints healthy

Water arthritis classes
PINELLAS PARK – Water arthritis classes are offered at Skyview Pool, 9040 54th Way N., Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:40 to 9:40 a.m. Cost is $2.50 per person.

Doing arthritis exercises in the water provides added resistance for a great workout. Classes will focus on gentle stretching, balance and movements. Swimming not required. Exercises done in shallow waters. Call 369-5694 for more information.

Yoga and music meditation
TARPON SPRINGS – The Tarpon Springs Recreation Division is offering a new class in yoga and music meditation for adults and seniors on Thursdays, 2 to 3 p.m., at the Tarpon Springs Community Center, 400 S. Walton Ave.

The price per class is $10. This class instructs participants how to relax, stretch and build strength and awareness to enhance body and spirit while healing the mind. This form of yoga is great exercise that is sensitive to chair and floor positions for participants of all physical abilities.
