Book sale
LARGO – 321 Books, an online retailer, will hold a book sale Friday, July 22 through Sunday, July 24, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Minnreg Hall, 6340 126th Ave. The public may purchase $30 VIP passes for one-hour pre-sale access each day. Otherwise, admission is $3 or free with the donation of three non-fiction books. Kids age 18 and younger are free.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit local literacy and school programs.

“We plan to have over 100,000 books to choose from at our inaugural sale this July,” said Tim Russell, director of 321 Books. “We are bringing thousands of mostly hardcover, non-fiction books. There also will be a large selection of fiction and classic books. In addition to books, there will be thousands of DVDs, CDs, albums and software to choose from. There will be over $1 million in retail to choose from. All of it will be $1. There is no limit of what you can purchase.”

LuLaBash
LARGO – LuLaBash Summer ’16 will take place Sunday, July 24, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1199 N. Highland Ave., Largo.

This will be a retail clothing event featuring clothing for women, children and men ranging in price from $23 to $70. Admission is free.

Paddleboard yoga
ST. PETE BEACH – Residents will have an opportunity to strengthen their core and find relaxation on the water with paddleboard Yoga at the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center. Classes are held on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and on Mondays at 7:30 p.m.

The class is good for first-time paddlers or those looking to expand their existing practice. Each class will include basic paddling instruction and gentle yoga on the water. Reservations are required. Limited space is available.

The cost is $15 for St. Pete Beach residents or $17 for a nonresident. To reserve your spot call the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center at 363-9264.

Seminole VFW blood drive
SEMINOLE – A blood drive will take place Sunday, July 24, 8 a.m. to noon, at Seminole VFW 9272, 10997 72nd Ave., Seminole.

Tampa Bay Home Show
ST. PETERSBURG – The Tampa Bay Home Show will be presented Friday through Sunday, July 22-24, at Tropicana Field, 1 Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg. Hours will be Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The largest quality consumer home show in Tampa Bay and on the West Coast will provide attendees an opportunity to see, learn about and buy the latest home products and services from more than 600 exhibits.

The event will include an Idea Stage, the newest design ideas and trends, giveaways and two appearances by the Tricky Dog Show.

ECO Teacher Training Workshop
TARPON SPRINGS - ECO Teacher Training Workshop 2016, Monday, July 25, 9 a.m. to Friday, July 29, 3:30 p.m.

The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension has teamed up with the St. Petersburg College of Education Professor to offer this nationally award-winning, week-long environmental education workshop for pre-service elementary, ESE education students, current elementary and ESE teachers and non-formal educators.

The workshop aims to teach participants with tools to interpret the natural world and impart the need for resource conservation to their audience.

English classes
MADEIRA BEACH – English for students of other languages is being offered by Pinellas County School Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Madeira Beach Fundamental School, 591 Tom Stuart Causeway. Cost is $30 a semester.

Attendees will have an opportunity to learn and to practice English with a teacher, with computers and with other learners.

Graffiti yoga class
TARPON SPRINGS – The Tarpon Springs Community Center will host a new class called Graffiti Yoga, on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting June 6 at 7:15 p.m., at 400 S. Walton Ave.

Students will enjoy music that ranges from hip-hop to drum beats to soothe the soul. The fee is $15 per class or $97 per month.
