Ducky Goes to the Circus
TREASURE ISLAND – Ducky Goes to the Circus, the 11th annual Ducky fundraising event, will take place Saturday, April 30, 6 p.m., at the Club at Treasure Island, 400 Treasure Island Causeway.

The event will feature cocktails, music, a sit-down dinner, a silent auction, Clown Alley games, prize opportunities and more. The highlight will be a speaker representing a family ever grateful for the help provided by All Children’s Hospital John Hopkins Medicine.

In July 2015, the All Children’s Hospital Guild’s nine branches began work on a four-year pledge to raise $1.350 million by May 2019. One million will go to support pediatric nursing excellence, creating a culture that has the best patient outcomes and the best work environment by achieving Magnet Status, which is considered the “gold standard” for nursing.

Components of this objective include developing clinical nurse leaders in neurology, heart, asthma and pulmonology; funding nursing research; promoting nursing education by collaborating with St. Petersburg College for in-hospital training; and increasing the number of higher education degrees and pediatric certifications. The $350,000 will purchase a new state-of-the-art pediatric ambulance.

A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from $750 to $2,500. Underwriting opportunities are set at $500. Single event tickets are priced at $100.

To attend or to partner with the Beach Branch of the guild, call Janet Woods at 727-344-1941 or email jwoods7@gmail.com; or call Claudia Roberts at 727-360-4408 or email crobe16116@msn.com.
