Many women face additional demands beyond the day-to-day demands of caring for their loved one – including financial strain and caring for ill parents – making these gatherings an important place of support and encouragement.

Wonderfully Made is now offering free childcare during its gatherings, so that women can attend without the hassle of finding a sitter. The group will have a licensed occupational therapist and supervising caretakers, who have been specially trained. Attendees are asked simply to make a reservation in advance.

Moore is an adoptive mother to a 5-year-old Chinese girl with Down syndrome and was inspired to start the group after searching for organized support in the area for over a year.

Participants can expect testimonies and guest speakers, as well as time to develop relationships with other mothers in the area.
