A Century of Music, Part 1

Celebrating its 35th season in Pinellas County, the Suncoast Singers are making a long awaited return to Largo for a fall and spring performance.
The chorus will present two completely different shows that will celebrate music from the 1900s to the present while continuing the tradition of providing uplifting and entertaining music.

Over the past 12 years, Birbiglia has developed a one-of-a-kind storytelling style in the world of standup comedy. His recent off-Broadway hit, “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend,” won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show and was named a Critics Pick by The New York Times, New York Magazine, and Time Out New York.
Following a successful New York run, Birbiglia brought the show to more than 70 cities worldwide, including the Sydney Opera House, London’s Soho Theatre, and Carnegie Hall.
The Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Classic, Friday through Sunday, Nov. 21-23, at Sheraton Sand Key Resort, 1160 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater; and Marriott Suites on Sand Key, 1201 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater.
The annual event will feature performers and bands such as Nate Najar, Barbaray Coast Show Band, Bill Allred, Cornet Chop Suey, Dave Bennett, Hamilton Harris Project, High Sierra, Sonny LaRosa’s America’s Youngest Jazz Band, Valerie Gillespie and many more.
A three-day badge costs $125. Daily badges for Friday and Saturday are $50. Daily badges for Sunday $40.
PALM HARBOR – The Crafty Ladies will host the 30th annual Winter Art and Craft Festival on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21-22, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 1555 Windmill Point Road.
Hours will be Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The creations of more than 50 talented crafters and artists will be available for purchase. The festival will feature a wide variety of items for decorating and gift giving. Shoppers will find jewelry, hand painted glassware and home decor, holiday decorations and much more.
