The Servant of Two Masters
West Coast Players will present the madcap Italian comedy “The Servant of Two Masters” by Carolo Goldoni, adapted by Constance Congdon, running April 15 through May 1, at West Coast Players Theatre, 21905 U.S. 19 N., Clearwater.

Betrothed couple Silvio and Clarice are devastated when a previous fiancé reappears, back from the dead. In this wild farce, things and people are not what they seem – disguises, traps and tricks produce a whirlwind of mass confusion. At the center of this mirth is Truffaldino, the scheming and perpetually hungry servant who concocts a zany scheme to double his wages (and his meals) by serving two masters at once.

“The Servant of Two Masters” stars Stephan Bell as the scheming servant Truffaldino with Jacob Mohr and Francesca Ioccavacci as the star-crossed lovers.

Amerilife Fun ‘n Country concert
The 12th annual AmeriLife Fun ‘n Country presented by 99.5 WQYK will take place Sunday, May 1, in Clearwater’s Coachman Park.

This year’s lineup will include familiar favorites and a variety of emerging artists. The city of Clearwater is offering the concert as a free general admission show. VIP Tickets also are available at $80. Visit funnsunclearwater.com.

Country favorite Craig Morgan is not only returning, but headlining this year’s show. Morgan has one of the most distinctive male voices in country music. The singer went from serving in the Army to country music star. His top hits include “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” “International Harvester,” “Redneck Yacht Club” and more.

Singer/Songwriter Cassadee Pope will also bring her pop-country sound to Fun ‘n Country. Pope shot to fame after appearing on the third season of “The Voice,” becoming the first female winner. Her tops hits include “Stand” and “Wasting All These Tears, and “Think of You,” a duet with Chris Young. Her music attracts listeners of both country and pop-rock.

Country music duo Brothers Osborne will bring their thick, crooning-like Johnny Cash voice and country twang guitar chords to Coachman Park. Their sound includes traditional country music to rock-and-roll. “Stay a Little Longer and “Rum” are just a few of their hit singles.

Singer/songwriter Granger Smith, an on-the-verge artist, will also be part of Fun ‘n Country’s lineup. Smith is considered one of country’s hottest artists to watch in 2016. He just recently released his first major label that debuted at the top of the charts with hits like “Background Song.”

Fun ‘n Country is the official end of 10-days of Fun ‘n Sun Clearwater. After the concert there will be a fireworks display.
