“A Flea in Her Ear
“A Flea in Her Ear,” by Georges Feydeau, Thursday through Sunday, April 9-19, at Francis Wilson Playhouse, 302 Seminole St., Clearwater.

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday with 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are $21 for adults and $15 for students. Call 446-1360 or visit franciswilsonplayhouse.org.

First produced in Paris in 1907, this classic adult farce set the standards for all that followed including the typical slamming doors, mistaken identities, confusing lookalikes and inventive stage mechanics. In the plot, Victor Emmanuel is afraid his marriage is growing stale, so to hopefully improve matters he initiates a series of unforgettable events. Caught in the mayhem are a group of hilarious archetypes and caricatures, all intertwining in the fast paced shenanigans at hand. Produced worldwide, audiences delight in the laughter of human folly.
