How do you measure success? Is it the car you drive, the house or neighborhood you live in? Maybe the degree you hold or the career path you chose? For others, maybe a club status or choosing the “right” life partner, fulfilling a dream?
This question I believe has endless possibilities. For each and everyone of us most definitely a different answer. You see, it is all a matter of perspective. What one views as success may be very, very different for another. It is truly whatever you put your whole heart into.
If an education and awesome career path is your heart, then go for it all the way. If there is a dream you’ve been dreaming, then work hard to make that dream a reality! Every bit of it is good but let’s not forget that sometimes success is overlooked as well. Most often when we speak of success it is material possessions and fame. However, success can very much be a volunteer who gives of their time to those in need but no one ever hears about. It can be a mother or father who gave up their own dreams to invest in their children. A single parent who stayed and worked several jobs to make sure their family did not go without. The person who gives beyond their means to help another.
My conclusion is the heart determines the success of a person. I do not believe success can or should be measured by things. Success is an inside job. If you give your very best to your passion, your mission, your life’s work, then you are successful. Do not let anyone or anything tell you otherwise. Be your SUCCESS today!
