CLEARWATER – There will be two programs in March set for families affected by autism.
The city of Clearwater Therapeutic Recreation Services will present a free family Zumba workshop on Friday, March 1, 6 to 7 p.m., at Ross Norton Recreation Complex, 1426 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave.
Claudia Garzon will teach the class, and music will be pumping as families experience fun and fitness together. Participants should wear comfortable clothes, tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. A healthy snack will be provided after the class. Rhythm and coordination are not required.
Families also can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, March 8, 6 to 8 p.m., with a fun-filled night of activities, dinner and an indoor scavenger hunt at Ross Norton Recreation Complex. A family of four with a play pass will pay just $3. A family of four with a recreation card will pay $4, and a family with no card will pay $5.
The programs are open to families that have been touched by autism. To register, call 462-6025.
