LARGO – Three Largo chiropractic clinics united to collect food for the RCS Food Bank in the Have a Heart campaign Jan. 15 through Feb. 21.
Drs. Al Comey, Woody Brown and Marc Rogers and their patients were able to collect a total of 343 pounds of food in the Valentine’s Day-themed food drive.
Each office was able to collect more than one hundred pounds of food. The combined contribution will provide an estimated 1,286 meals, according to the RCS Food Bank.
Brown said he was “delighted with the participation.” The three chiropractic physicians plan to make this an annual effort.
RCS Food Bank distributes food to people from its Clearwater warehouse and delivers food to local food pantries, homeless shelters, domestic violence safe houses, soup kitchens and housing programs for the disabled and elderly.
