LARGO – Physical therapy and occupational therapy are now being provided at the new home of the outpatient rehabilitation program at the Largo Medical Center’s Indian Rocks Road campus, 2025 Indian Rocks Road.
The program puts all of the facility’s inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation needs at one campus. To complement the acute inpatient rehabilitation facility, the center plans to add speech therapy to its outpatient services to allow for a comprehensive rehabilitative approach.
Licensed professionals experienced in their disciplines staff the center.
“Every single outpatient rehabilitation patient that comes into the Indian Rocks Rehab at Largo Medical Center receive one-on-one care from a licensed therapist,” said Tom Rowe in a press release. Rowe is director of the program at Largo Medical Center. “Patient treatment is based on medical necessity.”
Largo Medial relocates cardiac, pulmonary rehab program
Largo Medical Center recently relocated its cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs to its Indian Rocks Road campus, 2025 Indian Rocks Road.
The program is designed for people who have heart disease who are recuperating from heart-related conditions or surgeries such as a heart attack or open-heart surgery, angioplasty and other interventions. Pulmonary rehabilitation is open to individuals recovering from chronic lung conditions or diseases such as COPD, asthma, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis and other pulmonary diseases.
“Largo Medical Center cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients are lucky to have a team of such specially trained staff who assist the patient in customizing a treatment program based on one’s specific needs,” said Traci Klauka in a press release. Klauka is the director of cardiopulmonary and neurodiagnostics at Largo Medical Center.
