LARGO – Michael Barody, executive director of Regal Palms of Largo, recently was awarded the Florida Health Care Association’s Assisted Living Facility Administrator of the Year Award.
Selection is based on candidates’ qualities of leadership and demonstrated service to FHCA, along with their significant and measurable achievements in overall facility administration, workforce innovation, survey record and/or survey compliance in turn-around facilities, and implementation of quality improvement programs, including the Advancing Excellence campaign and culture change.
Barody has been working in senior living management for more than 20 years. A past president of FHCA and a Walter M. Johnson Jr. Circle of Excellence Award recipient, he is actively involved on FHCA’s FCAL committee and is a strong and effective advocate for assisted living communities. In his newest role, he will represent Florida’s assisted living communities on a national stage with the National Center for Assisted Living.
