The sixth annual AIDS Walk St. Petersburg is set for Saturday, Sept. 12th, at North Shore Park in downtown St. Petersburg.
AIDS Walk St. Petersburg will benefit the clients of AIDS Service Association of Pinellas which provides services to those living with HIV/AIDS. All of the money raised will remain in Pinellas County serving clients infected and affected by HIV.
The public's help is needed to sign up as individuals or teams to participate and raise money.
Individuals and teams can register online at www.AIDSWalkStPetersburg.org. Donations are collected by participants through a secure online payment system or by using sponsor forms which can be downloaded and printed from the web site. Cash and checks collected can be turned over on the day of the Walk.
Sheli Sanders, host of CW44’s Bayside, will be the grand marshal for this years AIDS Walk. The master of ceremonies will be Ann Sherman-White, coordinator of ASAP’s Department of Prevention and Testing.
HIV prevention information and testing will be provided from ASAP’s mobile testing unit at the Walk.
