Local chiropractor named to state board

TALLAHASSEE Gov. Rick Scott has appointed Dr. Roderick Jones of Redington Shores to the Florida Board of Chiropractice Medicine.

Jones, 46, is a chiropractic physician at Professional Health Care of Pinellas, Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning Sept. 23 and ending Oct. 31, 2014.

Also appointed was Dr. Kevin Fogarty, 50, of Merritt Island. He succeeds Dr. Gene Jenkins, Jr. and is appointed for a term beginning through Oct. 31, 2014.

Both appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
