DUNEDIN - This is one event that earned the phrase “Back by Popular Demand!” Me and My Shadow [Box] returns for its second appearance at the Dunedin Fine Art Center Friday, Jan. 25, 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Sponsored by the Fine Art Society, this second Annual event promises to deliver some incredible art to some lucky people for very little money. Working with 9-inch by 9-inch RIBBA shadow boxes, 100 artists are turning them into works of great beauty. On Jan. 25, all of those art works will be going home with new owners and you could be one of them!
A $25 admission ticket includes food, fun and one lucky ticket. Additional tickets will be available at 6 for $10. This is a great way to start or add to your art collection. Part of the fun will be in the anonymity. All pieces will be displayed anonymously. Only after you are the lucky winner will you find out who created it.
“We’re so excited that the Fine Art Society has chosen DFAC’s educational programs as the recipient for this fundraiser,” said George Ann Bissett, DFAC’s executive director.“It’s a testament to their ongoing commitment to art and art education in Tampa Bay.”
Tickets are available for advance purchase online at www.dfac.org/tickets or by calling 727-298-DFAC. Tickets will also be available at the door for $30.
