Nationally acclaimed artist Elio Camacho offers a painting demonstration and three-day workshop at Beach Art Center.
INDIAN ROCKS BEACH - Elio Camacho returns to the Beach Art Center Feb. 22, 23 and 24 for a three-day oil and acrylic painting workshop for the last time in the foreseeable future.
Additionally, the artist will offer a painting demonstration Thursday, Feb. 21, 5 to 8 p.m. which will be free for registered workshop students and $10 for non-registered students (refundable upon registration). There is still room in the workshop.
“As a painting instructor, my mission is to provide students with the foundation necessary to be creative. My goal is to assist students in capturing the particular mood of the moment and to express themselves in a bold and colorful way, while capturing the beauty and spontaneity of nature,” states the artist.
Long an admirer of master impressionists Bogart, Sorrolla and Fechin, Camacho studied intensively with Russian Impressionist Ovanes Berberian, leading to his realist style with abstract brush work.
