Oils and photography subject of new exhibit at TSCC

TARPON SPRINGS - Tarpon Springs Cultural Center opens a new art exhibit on Friday, April 4, highlighting the oils and photography of Vukman and Linda Vuksanovich. The show runs until June 6.

The show features spectacular design and brilliant color. Still life and landscape painting and photography is their passion.

An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, April 4, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 South Pinellas Ave. Admission is free.

The museum is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m.

Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Vukman he studied art at the Chicago School of the Art Institute and Goodman's School for acting and directing. He was a commercial photographer, specializing in photos of food. His work has graced the covers of and articles in several prominent magazines and have won many awards.

Linda Vuksanovich, also from Chicago, worked for Playboy Clubs, International, where she met her husband when he did photography for the club. She later joined him and became a commercial photographer. Her love of food, people, color, and design is reflected in her photographs. Upon retirement, the couple moved to Florida and has resided in Tarpon Springs for more than seven years.
