DUNEDIN – The Dunedin Historical Museum Inc. is sponsoring an art contest. The museum will reward a $250 cash prize to the artist who submits the best depiction of the main building of the museum.
Any two-dimensional media may be used (paint, collage, chalk, mixed media, computer-generated art, photograph, etc). The artwork should not only show the building and the new bronze sculptures in front, it must also be in keeping with the mission of the museum. Visit dunedinmuseum.org.
Entries must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by June 15. Winners will be notified after the winning entry has been selected. There are no age limitations.
Artwork should be in keeping with the spirit, tone, and tenor of the city and businesses of Dunedin.
Unless expressly requested, all entries must be submitted electronically, attached to an email with the words “Dunedin Museum artwork contest entry” in subject line.
Artwork must be provided in a Word, JPG, or PDF file. Hand-drawn illustrations will only be considered when sent as a picture.
Winning artwork to be used in multiple applications, including on a business card, and thus must be scalable.
Besides receiving $250, the winner will be recognized for his or her work.
The winning entry will appear on the museum’s letterhead, website, newsletter, to name just a few uses.
