ST. PETERSBURG - The seventh annual “Art in the PARC” is Friday, July 18, 4 to 7 p.m. at Duke Energy, 299 First Ave. N. in St. Petersburg.
The free indoor event features more than 1,000 pieces of artwork and jewelry created by PARC artists with developmental disabilities. Food and refreshments will be available as well and music.
All artwork and jewelry sold that evening directly benefits PARC Art Programs as well as the artists.
Guests will be able to stroll through the Duke Energy lobby which will be filled with custom paintings, jewelry, pottery, fabric sculptures and art prints which were all created by PARC Artists with assistance from trained instructors and community volunteers. PARC Artists will be on hand to meet guests and discuss their work.
PARC’s Art Programs promote each artist’s inclusion at local venues and their contributions to the cultural and economic heart of the community. Artists receive half the proceeds on their work.
Since 1953, PARC has been supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities by offering a variety of services focused on their unique needs and goals.
