TARPON SPRINGS – The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art will sponsor an opening reception for the 34th Annual Exhibition of the Florida Watercolor Society on Friday, Sept. 23, 7 to 9 p.m.
The Florida Watercolor Society began in 1972 with 26 members. Today it has 1,200 members. The goal of the society is to contribute to the cultural atmospheres of Florida and educate and assist anyone interested in the watercolor medium.
The exhibit will include suppliers, offer attendees the opportunity to try new materials and attend seminars, and to meet with artists.
The cost to attend the opening reception is free to museum members and $10 a person for nonmembers. Light refreshments and beverages will be served. The exhibition runs through Oct. 16.
