Clearwater Main Library schedules winter art exhibits

CLEARWATER - Winter art exhibits will be on display Dec. 1-Feb. 28, throughout the Clearwater Main Library's galleries, 100 N. Osceola Ave.
The exhibits include:
- Daily Drawings, drawings and sketches by artist Douglas Land will be exhibited in the Carnegie Gallery. Land is a professional artist and teacher. He resides in St. Petersburg, where he teaches drawing classes. To find out more, visit www.DouglasLandArtist.com.
- Acrylic Paintings by artist Barbara Kampe Hanson will be on display in the Osceola Gallery.
- Nagano and Clearwater: Sister Cities will be on display on the 4th Floor in the Special Collections area. The City of Clearwater and Nagano, Japan are celebrating 50 years of being Sister Cities. Beginning Jan. 10, gifts that Clearwater has received from Nagano over the past 50 years will be on display.
The galleries are open Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, call 727-562-4970, ext. 5284.
