DUNEDIN - The public is invited to "Art for the Holidays" at Painted Fish Gallery through Jan. 4.
Artist/owners Bill and Linda Renc feature their original Florida artworks in oil, watercolor, mixed media and calligraphy; books, limited edition giclee prints, mugs, cards and wildlife prints.
The gallery also carries the work of fine craftspeople, including lampwork glass bead jewelry, quilts, scarves & purses; hand-sculpted glass marine animals, paintings on marble, wood keepsake boxes, origami and stained glass. Conservation framing is available.
• Friday, Dec. 13 - 2nd Friday Art & Wine Walk 5:30-8:30 p.m. This month wine tasting features Stirling Tropical Wines. Guest artist demonstrations: “Origami: the Art of Japanese Paper Folding“ with Andrea Stearman; “The Art of Scratchboard” with Barbara A. Lewis, and “Personalized Wine Bottles“ with Linda Renc. Visitors may bring a bottle of wine from Stirling, champagne or spirits and Linda will personalize it in calligraphy. She asks a small donation to HEP (Homeless Emergency Project), Clearwater; info will be available.
• Saturday, Dec. 14 - Old Fashioned Christmas. During downtown festivities, the gallery offers calligraphy demos and “Personalized Wine Bottles” by Linda Renc from 6-9 p.m.
Painted Fish Gallery is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays until 6 p.m. and special events (or by appointment). Closed Dec.25 and Jan. 1.
