Author Barbara Sorey TARPON SPRINGS - Author Barbara Sorey is the guest speaker at the Tarpon Springs Friends of the Library Author Talk, Thursday, Feb. 4, 12:30 p.m., at the library, 138 East Lemon St. The cost is free and includes a dessert bar. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Tarpon Springs Library. Barbara Sorey was born and raised in Clearwater. She has published two books about her early years in Florida and continues to write her memoirs based on real life experiences and situations. Copies of her book will be available for sale and signing.

Fiction into Film series TARPON SPRINGS - Every Thursday at 2 p.m., Jan. 21-Feb. 11, Charles Shaffert will host a discussion for Fiction into Film series at the Tarpon Springs Library, 138 East Lemon St. Copies of each story will be available at the library prior to the meeting which will include reading of a short story, watching a film and the discussion.
