• Safety Harbor Public Library offers “Wade Into Reading,” a summer reading program for people age 18 and older. The program runs through Friday, Aug. 14.
Complete an entry form every time you read or listen to two books to be eligible for a weekly drawing from local Safety harbor businesses and restaurants. All entries will be eligible for the grand prize drawing in August. Entry forms are available at www.cityofsafetyharbor.com/library or at the library.

• Poetry by Candlelight meets Friday, July 3, 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the Mission Beautification Gallery, 400 Cleveland St in Clearwater. The event, which takes place the first Friday of every month, is sponsored by Artists in Action International, a group dedicated to bringing art to downtown Clearwater.
