Classical music plus Siempre Flamenco coming to TSPAC

TARPON SPRINGS – Classical viola and piano plus Siempre Flamenco are on the January entertainment schedule at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center.
On Friday, Jan. 19, 8 p.m. violist Roger Chase and pianist Michiko Otaki join forces in a varied program of music that includes Bach, Brahms, Enesco and Bliss among others. These two internationally renowned performers delight audiences everywhere.
Reserved seat admission is $18; center member or student, $16.
Saturday, Jan. 20, the center welcomes Siempre Flamenco, starting with a special workshop onstage with the troupe at 2 p.m. No watchers, only participants allowed. Cost is $15.
At 8 p.m., is the Siempre Flamenco performance. Guitarist Paco Fonta's combination of rapid-fire flourishes and subtle shading bring out the Siempre Flamenco's dazzling colors and passionate energy. The troupe promises to leave the audience breathless.
Reserved seats admission is $20; center member or student, $18.
Classical pianist Louis Demetrius Alvanis returns to the Tarpon Springs stage with a thrilling recital of Haydn, Beethoven, Ravel and Chopin on Saturday, Jan. 27, 8 p.m.
