March headliners include Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Moody Blues and Miley Cyrus

Firefall plays the Blast Friday street festival March 28 on Cleveland Street in Clearwater.
Tampa Bay area venues, both large and small, will welcome a diverse selection of musical artists in the coming weeks.

Doo Wop XIV is Saturday, March 15, 7:30 p.m., at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater. Tickets start at $45. Call 791-7400 or visit www.rutheckerdhall.com.

This year, the lineup will feature The Legendary Teenagers, The Charlie Thomas Drifters, Fred Parris and the Five Satins, Tommy Mara and The Crests, The Dixie Cups, Shirley Alston Reeves of The Shirelles and Jay Siegel’s Tokens.

Also performing at Ruth Eckerd Hall will be Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons on Tuesday, March 4 and the Moody Blues on Tuesday, March 25. Miley Cyrus takes the stage at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Thursday, March 20, and Michael Bolton appears Monday, March 10 at the Capitol Theatre.

For those into alternative music, the Florida Ska Festival is Saturday, March 22, at Skipper’s Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, Tampa. Tickets are $10 in advance or $13 at the door. Call 813-971-0666 or visit www.skipperssmokehouse.com.

The festival will include performances by The New Rulers, Victims of Circumstance, UNRB, Johnny Cakes and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypso, Control This, Rocksteady @ 8, The Duppies, The Apes FLA and Rude Squad.

Blast Friday, Clearwater’s free, family-friendly street festival, features a performance by Firefall on Friday, March 28, 5:30 p.m., in the Cleveland Street District. The street festival kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

Supported by the city of Clearwater, the Cleveland Street District and the Downtown Development Board and produced by Ruth Eckerd Hall On The Road, Blast Friday hosts 10 events per year bringing more than 40,000 people to downtown Clearwater.

A limited number of VIP tickets are available priced at $25. The VIP package includes a general admission ticket in the reserved seating section directly in front of the stage, one free beer and a free slice of pizza.
