CJ Harding brings her Patsy Cline tribute show to the Palladium for two shows March 9-10.
ST. PETERSBURG – CJ Harding will bring her Patsy Cline tribute show, “Sweet Dreams,” to Pinellas Saturday, March 9, 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 10, 3 p.m., at the Palladium at St. Petersburg College, 253 Fifth Ave. N.
Tickets are $35 VIP and $28 in advance. Call 822-3590 or visit www.mypalladium.org.
Harding has been performing as Patsy Cline for more than 15 years in a musical that she created based on a Patsy Cline concert in 1962. She made the costumes that she wears from photos of the actual dresses that Cline wore.
Harding is a snowbird: She resides in St. Petersburg for the winter and spends her summer and fall in Minnesota. She travels the country keeping the iconic singer’s memory alive. She opened the Largo Cultural Center in 1997 and continued to appear every year after that to sold-out audiences.
For years, Harding’s show has been supported by digital music. For her upcoming appearance at the Palladium, Harding decided to celebrate Cline’s 80th birthday by putting a live band together. Handpicked musicians from the Tampa Bay area were chosen to form the band.
Harding will sing all of the major hits of Cline in addition to eight new songs that have been added to the set list.
