TAMPA - Avril Lavigne and special guests Boys Like Girls bring 'The Best Damn Tour' to the Ford Amphitheatre on Saturday, April 19, 7 p.m.

General admission dance floor tickets are $45; reserved seats are $45, $35 and $15; and $9 for festival lawn. Tickets are available at the box office, online at www.livenation.com and all Ticketmaster locations. To charge by phone, call 727-898-2100; 813-287-8844 in Tampa; or 407-839-3900 in central Florida.

Having sold close to 30 million albums worldwide, Avril Lavigne is quickly paving her own path to rock ’n’ roll royalty.

She burst onto the music scene in 2002 with the critically acclaimed Let Go, which featured the smash singles “Sk8r Boi” and “Complicated.” Let Go earned Lavigne eight Grammy nominations and has sold more than 16 million copies worldwide.

Her 2004 sophomore effort, Under My Skin, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, as did her much anticipated third album, Best Damn Thing. Best Damn Thing, released in April 2007, is already certified platinum in the U.S and has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide. It was made with fun in mind, which is evident from the first single, “Girlfriend,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200.

Fans can expect to see the high-spirited energy of the record come to life through Lavigne’s stage show, which will feature dancers and a live band.

“I can’t wait to get back out on the road,” said Lavigne, “I have the most fun when I am performing for the fans. I think that energy comes through in my live show.”
