Submersed’s Donald Carpenter plays acoustic on March 29

TAMPA – Lightning fans get a special treat with a post-game concert featuring an acoustic set by Submersed’s Donald Carpenter on Saturday, March 29, on the Chrysler-Jeep Plaza immediately following the Tampa Bay Lightning v. Carolina Hurricanes game.

Game time is 7:30 p.m. Carpenter will also perform a song during the first intermission of the game.

Carpenter, with his powerful vocals and uncanny knack of completely engaging an audience, is the lead singer and front man of Submersed. His voice is one of the more distinctive in this genre of music today.

With a vocal range that is not quite the norm for harder-edge bands, Carpenter’s beautiful falsetto range peaks at levels which rival that of a classically trained vocalist.  The band Submersed is a guaranteed rare occurrence of good ‘ol Texas indie harmoniously colliding with rock & roll.

Submersed’s first album In Due Time, produced the hit rock single "Hollow" that contributed to the sale of more than 100,000 copies. The band’s latest album Immortal Verses (Wind-Up Records) was released Sept. 18, 2007.

A portion of the proceeds from tickets purchased through www.myspace.com/Submersed, and a portion of Submersed merchandise sales will benefit the Francis House, as local homeless shelter.  Additionally, donations will be accepted at the post-game concert.

Tickets are $69, includes game ticket, unlimited food, beer, wine and soft drinks; $32 for Terrace Center or Corner; and $15.00 for the last five rows in Terrace.  Prices do not include service charges.
