Local musicians gather to play at The Studio@620 Friday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7.
ST. PETERSBURG - The Studio@620 will host an evening of music on Friday May 9 at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7. The evening features a group of local musicians.
“This is not a band… we call it Monday” is an event reflecting community and musical fellowship and everyone is welcome to attend.
There are many reasons communities form, but this one is about the music. Every Monday a group of friends gathers in St. Petersburg to play and sing and enjoy one another’s company.
Now this group is expanding with a performance at The Studio and everyone is invited.
This federation of friends dates back more than 14 years, and centers on a collection of original and (occasionally obscure) cover tunes from diverse origins in the folk and rock vein. Players come and go, but the community is constant.
Musicians include Jeff Wolf, Tom Tipton, Frank Baptie, Gabriel Tinnaro, Dave Ellis and Lara Cerri.
Donations accepted at the door to benefit The Studio.
The Studio@620 is a nonprofit arts venue located at 620 First Ave. S., St. Petersburg.
