ST. PETERSBURG - Sacred Lands presents Music and a Meal with Crabgrass Cowboys Friday, June 20. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Enjoy a meal and live music at one of the most unique waterfront botanical gardens in our county. Sacred Lands’ parking entrance is at 1700 Park Street N. and Elbow Lane in St. Petersburg. Turn at The Black Palm sign on the corner.
The opening act is The Joe Milligan Project at 7:30 p.m.
The Crabgrass Cowboys is Hapi McKenzie (guitar/vocals) and Patty Pfister (violin/vocals). They refer to their music as Crabgrass - a unique blend of Country, Rockabilly, Americana, Bluegrass, and swing.
Since meeting on July 4 1988, McKenzie and Pfister have performed at many events, concerts and festivals, sharing the stage with such legends as Bill Monroe, Doc Watson, Riders in the Sky, Alison Krauss, and Patsy Montana - just to name a few. They have received many awards. From the moment they hit the stage until the last song is sung, the Crabgrass Cowboys entertain with top notch original tunes, harmony and humor - colorful costuming ( like those singing cowboys of the silver screen) adding visual appeal.
