Mötley Crüe's 'Crue Fest' comes to the Ford
Article published on Tuesday, June 24, 2008
TAMPA - Mötley Crüe's "Crue Fest" with special guests Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx AM and Trapt is coming to the Ford Amphitheatre on Thursday, July 3. Gates open at 4 p.m.

With a gritty reputation, Mötley Crüe's theatrical show and musical mayhem made them a force to be reckoned with in the '80s.

As one of the first and most influential hair metal bands of the time, Mötley Crüe had a series of hit albums, the biggest and most noteworthy being 1989's "Dr. Feelgood." Mötley Crüe's beginning can be traced back to 1981, when bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee decided to leave the bands they were in at the time and pursue a new project together.

Mick Mars was hired to play guitar and Vince Neil was added as vocalist. These masters of musical mayhem will rock the Ford Amphitheatre with an ear-splitting assault destined to bring back the Crue of yesterday and blast the audience into the Crue of tomorrow.

The show is sure to include hits such as "Dr. Feelgood," "Shout at the Devil," "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Wild Side" and will include new music from their soon to be released studio album. It is the band’s first studio album in more than ten years.

"Saints of Los Angeles" is the title track and lead single off the notorious rock band's new album due this Summer. With its powerhouse hook, the track aims to prove that the gang is still on top of its game, rocking harder than ever.

Tickets are $95, $75, $50 and $29.50 festival lawn. Tickets are available at the Ford Amphitheatre box office, online at www.livenation.com and all Ticketmaster outlets. To charge by phone call 813-287-8844 or 727-898-2100.
