Idol finalist plays July 4th concert

ST. PETERSBURG - Amanda Overmyer, the Harley riding, Janis Joplin sounding contestant from the 2008 season of American Idol will appear at the Rock 'n Wings Concert July 4th, 4 to 10 p.m. at the Albert Whitted Airport, First Street and Fifth Avenue South in downtown St. Petersburg.
Gates open at 3 p.m.
Overmyer is touring the country promoting her new CD Solidify. Her classic rock and southern rock style makes her live concert performances a must see.
Also appearing are the Greg Billings Band and alternative rockers Drew Street Mary.
Music, classic cars and aircraft displays are all a part of this 4th of July celebration being produced by Albert Whitted Airfest, Inc., a non profit group.
Admission, is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children under 6 admitted free.
On-site parking is $5. Free parking for motorcycles. There are also a limited number of tickets to the catered VIP meet and greet session with Overmyer.

Bring beach chairs or blankets, hats and sunscreen. There will be plenty of food and drinks available for purchase. No coolers or pets.
