Article published on Tuesday, July 15, 2008
PINELLAS COUNTY - Local musician J.D.Early has been diagnosed with a benign large mass inside his head on that is attached to his pituitary gland and requires surgery.

According to fellow musician Tony Thomas and friend Johanna Fath Early's condition has caused him severe migraines and trouble with his vision.

"Because J.D. sings and plays trumpet, his Doctors are forbidding him from performing; which is his livelihood that he supports his family with," Thomas said.

Early is the father of five children and "one of the nicest people we know," Fath said.

Early's friends are seeking donations to help Early and his family "get through this challenge." His friends also are asking that people keep Early in their prayers.

Contributions of any amount can be send to Tony Thomas or Johanna Fath, 17460 First ST. E., Redington Shores, FL 33708. Make checks out to Johanna Fath and Put "Help of J.D." in the subject line. PayPal donations also can be made online at tampaguitarschool.com. For more information, call 727-398-1252.
