Summer Tour sounds hit the Ruth Eckerd Hall stage on July 19

CLEARWATER - The Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour featuring Boys Like Girls & Good Charlotte with Metro Station and The Maine comes to Ruth Eckerd Hall on Tuesday, July 29, at 7 p.m.
Tickets, priced at $25.50, are available at the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office located at 1111 McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater; by calling 727-791-7400; or online at www.rutheckerdhall.com. The Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and one hour prior to show time.
The Boston-area band, Boys Like Girls which include frontman Martin Johnson, John Keefe (drums), Bryan Donahue (bass) and Paul DiGiovanni (lead guitar) released their self-titled debut album in August 2006. In the light of the album’s release, the band completed their first headlining tour.
They spent the better part of 2007 touring, although they released the album’s second single, The Great Escape which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Pop charts and eventually charted on the Billboard 200 album chart for the first time in April.
Good Charlotte hails from Maryland and formed in 1996 and is led by identical twin brothers Joel (lead vocals) and Benji Madden (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Billy Martin (lead guitar and keyboards), Paul Thomas (bass guitar) and Dean Butterworth (drums and percussion). The band has released four albums in total, most notably 2002’s multi-platinum seller The Young and the Hopeless, which spawned the singles, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, The Anthem and Girls & Boys.
Their videos were favorites on both MTV and MTV2, with The Anthem going on to receive the Viewers Choice Award on MTV’s 2003 Video Music Awards. Their newest album, Good Morning Revival was released world-wide in 2007 and includes the hit single Dance Floor Anthem.
The Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour also features Metro Station an electronic pop/rock band from California which consists of four members, Trace Cyrus (vocals, guitars), Blake Healy (keyboards, synthesizer), Mason Musso (vocals, guitar) and Anthony Improgo (percussion). In the July 2007 issue of Alternative Press, an indie music magazine, Metro Station was named as one of the 22 Best Underground Bands (That Likely Won’t Stay Underground for Long). Opener The Maine hails from Phoenix, Arizona. They are touring in support of their debut EP, The Way We Talk which was released in December 2007.
