TAMPA - Rock fans get ready. Def Leppard, Styx and Foreigner are coming to the Ford Amphitheatre on Friday, Aug. 24, 7 p.m.

With more than 65 million albums sold worldwide, not to mention two prestigious Diamond Awards to their credit, Def Leppard - Joe Elliott (vocals), Vivian Campbell (guitar), Phil Collen (guitar), Rick "Sav" Savage (bass) and Rick Allen (drums)—continues to be one of the most important forces in rock music.

The group’s spectacular live shows are filled with hit after hit from their groundbreaking discography that set the sound for generations of music fans and artists. Def Leppard’s powerful rock anthems have become synonymous with their name and it’ easy to see why rock fans keep gravitating toward their electrifying live performances.

2006 was a watershed year for Def Leppard with the group’s summer concert tour becoming a must-see phenomenon. It was extended three times due to overwhelming demand for tickets from concert-goers and quickly became one of the year’s most successful live music events.

2006 also included a gold record for Rock Of Ages: The Definitive Collections, marking the group’s 10th album certification, as well as two critically acclaim album releases; an exclusive limited edition version of the group’s classic Hysteria album and Yeah!, a tribute to the band’s musical heroes, that received raves from Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone and USA Today and featured the group’s now definitive cover of “Rock On.”

On their 2007 tour, Def Leppard is promising a highly-charged, no-nonsense set of rocking performances, packed with hits spanning its entire career.

Styx was the first band to have four consecutive triple platinum albums (The Grand Illusion, Pieces Of Eight, Cornerstone, and #1 Paradise Theatre).

Since their debut in 1972, they’ve also earned double platinum, platinum and five gold albums. “Lady” was the first of 16 Top 40’s, among which also includes “Blue Collar Man (Long Nights),” and “Fooling Yourself.” The video for their 1981 Top 10 single “Too Much Time on my Hands” aired in the first hour of MTV's life. Big Bang Theory, released in May 2005, features their hit remake of “I Am The Walrus,” and charted at No. 46, making it the fourth consecutive decade that Styx has had an album in the Top 50.

Foreigner is the band, best known for all-time rock favorites including "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Double Vision,"”Dirty white Boys,” "Head Games," "Urgent," "Waiting For a Girl Like You," "I Want to Know What Love Is" and a truckload more of hits over nearly three decades.

The set lists will include all the beloved songs and die-hard fans will often be treated to long-absent favorites like "At War With the World," "Say You Will" and "Woman in Black."

Reserve seat tickets are $75, $55 and $39.50; $25 for fesitval lawn and available at www.livenation.com and all Ticketmaster locations, or charge by phone by calling 727-898-2100.
