IDentity Festival set for Aug. 24

TAMPA - Skullcandy presentS IDentity Festival on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 1 p.m., at the 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheatre. Tickets range from $20 to $426. Call 813-740-2446 or visit

Performers include Kaskade, Pretty Lights, Rusko, The Disco Biscuits, Chuckie, Booka Shade and Jessie and the Toy Boys. In the heartbeat of it all is the Skullcandy Main Stage. This sensory extravaganza features unparalleled production and is headlined by international house hero, Kaskade. An incomparable lineup of the hottest names in electronic music will take turns joining Kaskade for the evening including Pretty Lights, Disco Biscuits, Rusko, Booka Shade, Datsik, Afrobeta, and Jessie and the Toy Boys and more.

Rockstar Energy Drink’s Dim Mak Festival Stage is headlined by none other than Dim Mak’s commander-in-chief, Steve Aoki. By his side is a superstar mix and match of DJ Shadow, Chuckie, The Crystal Method, Holy Ghost!, Datsik, Hercules and the Love Affair, Le Castle Vania, and The Eye.

The event also includes an Advent Stage featuring an amazing mix of underground DJs, Manufactured Superstars, White Shadow, LA Riots, Marshall Barnes and more.

The festival area itself is a huge, open and exciting space with plenty of room for relaxing, mingling, eating, drinking and of course dancing.

Identity Festival also partnered with LoKast, an iPhone app for instant social networks at physical places and events. Download LoKast and experience your Identity show with others there together – Meet and Message with others at the show, Chime In to the Social Flow and Take Pics and Videos together.

Additionally, the festival area will be filled with fun activities that will keep you cool in the hot summer heat and heat you up under the cool summer stars.

The girls of Catwalk Entertainment will be your dancing entertainment in the festival all day and night. They’re sure to keep you entertained with great summer costumes, body paint and plenty of surprises up their sleeves!

As you walk through the Festival you’ll notice the Vendor Village. The area will be filled with eclectic jewelry, art, clothing, glow products, rave attire, electronics, and LED gloves. You’ll be sure to find something for yourself and a gift for a friend.

Don’t forget to stop by the Infusion Project tents and check out the live paint artists as they transform art experiences and hypnotize your hungry eyes with psychedelic art shows.

Music will stop at 11 p.m. local time for all shows.

IDentity Festival is open to all ages, must be 21+ to drink alcohol. Valid ID is required for entry. IDentify has a zero tolerance policy for all illegal drug use inside or outside the venue. Persons entering the amphitheatre will be searched, bags, purses and pockets must be emptied for inspection. Persons who appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will not be allowed inside.

Conccessions, drink and food, will be availble. ATMs are located thoughout the concourse. Free water refills are available in the concession area and confort stations. Discounted water will be available for sale.

The festival goes on rain or shine.
