CLEARWATER - It's official. The National Weather Bureau just issued an alert. There is 0 percent chance of snow for master pianist Chick Corea and banjo-extrodinare Bela Fleck's rescheduled show at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Friday, Aug. 23, 8 p.m.
Tickets for the originally scheduled date of March 24 will be honored and seats are still available for this show.
When asked about this forecast a bureau representative stated "I know that this will be a big relief to Chick Corea and Bela Fleck fans who may have been disappointed by the postponed show in March due to one of the worst snow storms in midwest history stranding the artists in St. Louis. They'll be no worries this time, so come out and see the snow, I mean show!"
With a combined 35 Grammy wins between these two musical titans, Corea and Fleck are planning a really special make-up show that concert-goers will be talking about for a long, long time. This is the only Corea and Fleck appearance left for 2013.
“One masterly, magical concert” raved the Daytona Beach News Journal, “One of the most thrilling, surprising and fun concerts” said the Lansing Stage Journal and the Birmingham News Review said “Five out of five stars”.
Corea is the fourth most Grammy-nominated artist of all time and Fleck has been nominated in more categories than any artist in Grammy history. The uncanny combination of these two master-musicians makes for a spectacular and unforgettable night.
