Side Door Jazz concert features CD release party

ST. PETERSBURG - Palladium Side Door Jazz Series will present Lucian and the All Stars celebrating the release of their latest CD "Street Love Jazz" on Thursday, Sept. 14, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., in the Stavros Greatroom. Tickets are $20.

"Street Love Jazz" is a 12-tune medley of completely original compositions featuring a varietyof genres, including East Coast, Be-Bop, Latin and contemporary.

Lucian and the All Stars is composed of Lucian Ierna on drums; Joe Ierna on saxophones, flute and flugel horn; Randall Ierna on Latin percussion and drums; Glenn Stevenson on double bass and fretless electric bass; Dean Fernald on keyboards; and Susan Jones Williams on vocals and percussion. The group has been together for eight years and has played all of the top venues in the Tampa Bay Area.

"We are excited to be playing this wonderful venue at the Palladium Side Door Jazz Series.

The room is intimate while still holding over 150 patrons, and the acoustics are great for Jazz," said Lucian Ierna. "My Brother Joe and I grew up on Jazz and it is a treat to be able to play this great music live with him and the rest of the group."

Joe Ierna wrote 8 of the 12 tunes on the CD and he also wrote the lyrics to "Looking Glass Genie" and the title song "Street Love," which are sung by Williams.

"This CD is a definitive work of 12 separate genres of Jazz, and is receiving unbelievable

reviews from Industry critics. It is being played on the radio in the U.S. as well as in Denmark and Australia," said Randall Ierna.

Patrons attending Sept. 14 concert will be able to purchase the CD at the special show price of $9," said Randall Irena.
