DUNEDIN - Roy Schneider with Kim Mayfield performs a “Voices United” Benefit Concert Sunday Sept. 22, 7:30 p.m., at Painted Fish Gallery, 350 Main St., Dunedin.
Roy Schneider’s music has been described as “… a heavy dose of ramblin’ Americana, complete with believable folk delivery and splattered with old-timey charm … rooted in a way that ties him to the outlaw singers of the past” (Scott Recker, eCurrent.com).
"A beguiling and tasty stew of blues, country, folk, and Americana," says Blues Matters! magazine.
He has twice been a finalist in the Kerrville Folk Festival's Grassy Hill New Folk Competition as well as numerous other national competitions. "Walls that Talk," Roy's September 2012 CD release, debuted at No. 3 on the American Folk DJ charts.
Based in Ft. Myers, he frequently tours with his wife and musical partner, Kim Mayfield. Visit www.royschneider.com for more information.
This event is a “Voices United” Benefit Concert with proceeds to support Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. Now in its second year, “Voices United” Benefit Concerts large and small are taking place around the country Sept. 15-30
